Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards - KPMB finalist in three categories
November 27, 2006
KPMB is a finalist in the first-ever Interior Design magazine annual Best of Year Awards, a two-fold competition that recognizes and celebrates the best projects of the year and honors distinction in product design.

The Best of Year (B.o.Y) awards pay tribute to preeminent design projects among all sectors.

Unlike most competitions, consideration was offered to designers whose projects have previously won contests or been published. Elucidating on the process, editor Cindy Allen said, “The purpose of the B.o.Y awards is to gather the most innovative and outstanding work of the year. What better way to cap off a year of outstanding achievement in design than to celebrate it?”

The Best of Year Awards will culminate in New York with a glamorous event at the Guggenheim Museum this Thursday, November 30th.

KPMB is shortlisted for the following projects:.

Education - Canada's National Ballet School.

Institutional - Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art.

Innovation - Ballet Barre, Canada's National Ballet School.

Other finalists in the respective categories include Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Deborah Berke & Partners, and Gluckman Mayner Architects.
